1) Light blanket – travel light, bring a light blanket that will cover your whole body, this can be used as “curtain” in the bottom bed of the megavalue accommodation of supeferry, depending on your bed location, people would be passing by the aisle, this can be also used (the sarong) as instant change clothes booth, this can be used as wind breaker when in the boat, and this can be used as blanket when sleeping, we’ll be staying on an island so expect very basic amenities.
2) Snorkel & Mask – either bring one or rent one. We will be arriving Coron at 6am, and store there opens at 8am. In my last trip (January), the rental rate is at P150/day. I say this is a must, Coron is all about underwater sceneries. So have a snorkel gadget in Coron.
3) Water – just to be sure, bring your own water or buy your own water there at Coron. I am not sure if you are sensitive to purified water there. I noticed in our last trip, I consumed 1-2 liters water in a day. So you can estimate how many liters should you buy.
4) Buying Time – our buying time would be on the following period: 1) upon arrival at Coron Pier from superferry, the are stores outside the pier gates, 2) at the town market, we will pass by this place after the Mt. Tapyas tour, 3) at Panlaitan Village, before proceeding to Calauit, we will stopover to this island village, and buy fresh seafoods for lunch, this is also a chance to buy snacks or drink softdrinks, 4) after the daytrips, we’ll be back at Coron town, there you can buy some pasalubong, but buy as early as possible, store closes at around 5pm, 5) before boarding the superferry back to manila, there are dried pusit and dried fish and kasuy for sale there at the pier gate, here better buy early, some people tend to buy all of the items there.
5) Your Medicine – bring your medicine, if you have any. Please tell me if you have some sickness or allergies to some particular kind of food. Please be reminded that you are responsible for your own medication. Bring some first aid medicine like povidone iodine, paracetamol, ibuprofen, bandage strips, etc.
6) Extreme Sports – to those who are inclined to do stunts of extreme sports, please don’t do it in this trip. We don’t want to spoil the group’s fun because we are worried about your “extreme” actions, more so, if some accident happens.
